I originally created this design to express my feelings about the racially-motivated attacks on the AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) community during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019 and 2020. It features my original character/alter ego Starshine who is inspired by my love of early 2000s rhythm video game characters and British indie rock music. She's named after the Gorillaz song "Starshine."
